Karin Landry Named Captive Professional of the Year
We are pleased to report that Spring’s Managing Partner, Karin Landry, has been named the “Captive Professional of the Year” U.S. Captive Service Award for 2014.
The U.S. Captive Service Awards are awarded annually, by the industry publication Captive Review, to recognize “excellence in the delivery and management of captive insurance and celebrate innovation, commitment and expertise in the captive insurance field.”
Landry is widely recognized as a leader in the captive insurance world and has focused on optimizing insurance funding particularly around using captives to fund employee benefits. Her efforts have resulted in eight patents for benefit funding programs, with the most recent patent for pension funding in a captive being awarded in the spring of 2014. Additionally, Landry has been deeply involved in securing U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) approval for many of the companies that fund employee benefits in captives, resulting in significant employee benefit savings for her clients.
“We are all very proud of Karin for not only receiving this honor, but also her hard work and dedication to her clients which we are fortunate enough to witness every day,” commented John Cassell, Spring’s Senior Partner.
