Spring Consulting New Platinum Partner of DMEC

(San Diego, CA, July 2008) With the three leading causes of disability claims costing businesses in North America an estimated $242 billion per year, employers are looking for ways to manage these costs and keep valued employees at work. Now Spring Consulting is teaming up with the Disability Management Employer Coalition (DMEC) to provide a range of new educational materials that will assist employers in developing cost-saving programs and returning employees to productive employment.

Karen English, a partner at Spring Consulting, will serve on the DMEC Executive Advisory Board as well as assist DMEC in producing educational materials and providing survey design and analysis. English has conducted industry-leading research in the area of integrated disability, absence and health benefits that has helped provide benchmarks to employers looking to design these types of programs. English has been with Spring Consulting as one of the founding partners for four years; before that, she was a senior consultant at Watson Wyatt.

“Spring is thrilled to be working with DMEC to help employers prioritize and expand their integration efforts. In an ever-changing market, DMEC serves as a valuable resource and supportive environment that we are happy to be a part of,” says English.

Spring Consulting becomes the 11th Platinum Sponsor of DMEC, the leading developer of integrated disability management strategies for employers.

Says Marcia Carruthers, CPDM, CEO of DMEC, “Karen and her partners provide some strategic services that will strengthen our educational offerings and add depth to our member services. Spring is highly respected and acknowledged in the industry. We expect this alliance to provide key expertise to both our programs and complement the Executive Advisory Board.”
